Thematic lines of the conference
Between a life of solitude and endure social conventions, being present in the human impulse to the social, is generally preferred the second solution.
Social conventions cause however contradicts the "ecological guidelines" inherent in man.
Because of all this, in the majority of cases of life, written rules or declared correspond to those applied.
Here is a contradiction: if just one rule respected but not declared, why not make it explicit?
We can assume that a rule effective but not made explicit could be dangerous to society, if declared.
Moreover cultural evolution, resulting in the liberation of morals, led and door looking for variety in the experiences of life.
With this need has grown so the taste for behaviors studied, controlled, strategically aimed at success and, not least, more creative; it follows a contextual progressive building codes and unofficial rules, it being understood that, likely, they coexisted with the rules declared, since the constitution of social life.
Among the facts that often lead man to the "rule of the unspoken" when he lives in society, we want to detect the increased sense of security felt by making public only the bare minimum of themselves.
The relationship between declared and undeclared therefore appears more complex than just the contrast between rule necessary in social life and "greed" of the primordial biological directives, hidden in the human mind, that would give as a result the formation of tacit rules and tacitly applied, although this is, not less, a very important part of the question.
The mechanisms so far considered seem to tell us, and in turn partly strengthen, distrust and fear of the human being to the outside, of nature that makes explicit our limits, of which the largest is the death, and the Other that can threaten our living space directly.
In any case, the proximity of the other on the one hand makes it less hard our fears towards nature, dal'altro makes that become indispensable rules, which in turn leads, as seen, to severe limitations and problems.
Among the antidotes that humanity has found everything, a very important role is played by the game.
Among the games, that chess has a distinctive place, at least for the materialization of aesthetic rigor of the rules in the geometry of the board and, even more, to be competition in open mode and much more visible than in many other games, just think of what happens in most card games where they are held so that their value is visible only to those who have in hand.
In chess finally are reduced almost to zero factors other than pure skill of the player, as for example the fate, instead they have great importance in almost all other games.
As part of our reasoning, all these peculiarities make the game of chess to create a situation suitable release: during the game, man can 'trust of the' 'outside' because the rules are such that they can not be circumvented dall'avversario.e we even induced to give us the illusion of control over the "non-human", which is usually much disturbs us, because on the battlefield of the chessboard external factors have limited influence, even if, going well see, the trick was simply to oust.
It is therefore, in fact, a small portion of reality that has been artificially isolated from the rest and where relationships are valid only in that it can exist and express itself.
It should however be well aware that the counterpart to the cathartic power is given by the ruthlessness of contention psychological chess, where is that, for the same reasons as mentioned above, have little or no escape routes from a defeat or psychological mediations to soften.
A different protective mechanism and liberating is what comes into play, for example, in tarot cards, when considered as mental maps and spiritual, then as representations of reality.
In this case we are faced with a mechanism similar to that of catharsis in the myths of antiquity.
The more detailed description of the world, somehow is explained and, rendendocelo known, makes us be less threatening.
The exaltation of this mechanism occurs in religions and ideologies, where the description comes often to make us the world seem magnanimous or, more often, well at least with us.
The art exhibition accompanying the festival is a deepening on the issues, made by visual artists.
Gabriella Kuruvilla, writer, presents a composition of paintings that remind us of the Milanese Indian ancestry and speak the thousand everyday things with which the breadth of our desires must come to terms.
Fabrizio Bellafante presents a click metaphorical, poised between the symbols of defining geometries related to our daily routes and paths of high finance, increasingly uncertain in the forms of their estrinsecarsi.
Federica Brambilla, architect of photography provides us with shots that remind us of the images of the rebus, where everything is suspended while waiting and hoping to find a definition.
Marcia Zegarra Urquizo, his paintings lead us to explore worlds that we carry in our daily, Peruvian artist living for years the varied aspects of the transfer in a land far from where she grew up.
Christian Flores Savedra stands at the center of his research with the themes of migration dates materialized in stamps that modify and rebuild otherwise the human being.
Carlo Cecaro, wanderer and performer Milan urban art, the strength of the polemic against the rules is embodied especially in conceptualism and in the use and transformation of the word.
Mark Cooper, British artist transplanted in Piedmont shows us images of works of art of the urban walls of Milan, among which stand out just the signs of Charles Cecaro.
Nicholas Daniels Schiraldi, artist of the Comuna Baires between Argentina and Italy. In his paintings of metropolitan life builds an overview of moments of community life.
Silvia Giacomini with engravings there appears to show a relationship between different experiences of life as it unfolds on a field of play and battle, represented by a checkerboard.
Danilo Viviani, skilled draftsman, where the ghosts of the mind take shape and become flesh, can put in a lot of images of human contradictions.
The piece of Alfa Romeo gives us an example of his ability illustrative providing a background for the whole of chess exhibition.
Virgilio Patarines, with its facilities provides us with an illustration of many of the concepts of plot between culture and archetypal forms of the game of life, which is one of the key issues in the unfolding of human events and in the ways that humans try to adopt, in an attempt to control at least some aspects of existence.
Museum Teo "Museum without seat", Builders of Babel, associations offering shares of public art, to introduce the works and artists that act primarily in their own homes.
Everything takes place in City Art which has a long and jagged path of public art.
