by Pino Diecidue and Roberto Borghi

"It is not by chance – He wrote George Barberi-Squarotti – HE, for all seasons, Pavese is the quintessential summer ». It is in this period that it spreads the saturated brightness, the origin of marked chiaroscuro, that pervades the pages of “Feria d'agosto”, “The beautiful summer” and other books in which the landscape is described with colors of strong mythic-symbolic values. It is a pictorial matrix present in the writing process from the beginning of Pavese. "The words that I use – He has recognized the same author “The job of a poet” (1934) – suggest that the basis of my fantasy is a pictorial emotion '.

The works on paper and small paintings by Elena Borghi evoke the climate of exasperated sensuality that is perceived in backlight in the poems of “Death will come and will have your eyes”. The tracks female bodies so energetic and vital artist have "violated the earth" and suffer "the heavy shadow of the crowded and day different," they alluded to the last lines of Pavese.

During the exhibition the artist has created artist's books that deepen and develop the suggestions in the works and will be exhibited in the gallery.

The exhibition, in collaboration with the People's Library via Tadino.
